Tangiora is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation, combining evidence-based practice, advanced clinical reasoning, and a patient-centred approach to help people overcome shoulder pain and return to the activities they value.
A graduate of James Cook University (2019), Tangiora is currently completing her Masters of Physiotherapy to further advance her clinical expertise. She has also undertaken postgraduate training under leading shoulder clinicians, including Lyn Watson and Jo Gibson, developing particular expertise in the assessment and management of complex shoulder presentations, including rotator cuff-related shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, instability, and post-operative rehabilitation.
She believes successful rehabilitation extends beyond treating symptoms—it requires understanding the person behind the injury, identifying the contributing factors, and developing a clear pathway to restore confidence, strength, and function.
As a semi-elite rugby league athlete, Tangiora understands first-hand the physical and psychological demands of sport, progressive loading, and the challenges athletes face when returning from injury. She combines this lived experience with clinical expertise to help patients safely rebuild capacity and achieve meaningful goals.
